What is it?

This canvas was created by Jim Kalbach and based off of Alexander Osterwalder’s 2005 business model canvas. It is used to organize and define a new project while describing in detail all aspects surrounding the topic. 

When to use

It can be used when beginning a project to put ideas into a structure that is easy to understand and refer back to. 

How to use

  1. Click on the plus sign in the corner to add a sticky note into the corresponding section. 
  2. Think about your big idea behind the project.
  3. Create business goals and objectives that will help you complete the tasks leading up to the final product.
  4. List stakeholders that you will be needing help from.
  5. Make deadlines leading up to the final product and create a timeline.
  6. List what steps need to be taken throughout the process.
  7. Fill out the canvas taking note of these key elements for your project.
